At Cambridge Savings Bank, our purpose is to have a positive impact on our customers, employees, and community's financial well-being.  We are committed to exceeding expectations, having a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion, and fostering a highly collaborate and customer centric environment.  As a Business Solutions Specialist, you will analyze and implement operational improvements and process efficiencies by leveraging available Core functionality, and other existing technologies affecting the Loan Servicing, Commercial Loan Administration and Treasury Management Support teams.  You will also facilitate and test key system enhancements for software releases and provide administrative support to end users. You will actively participate on both PMO initiatives and non-PMO projects as a subject matter expert to increase adoption of new technologies to increase efficiency and support continuous improvement in service level performance.

Key Result Areas:  

  • Facilitate the implementation and testing of Core system upgrades, hot fixes affecting Residential & Commercial Loan Servicing and Treasury Operations.  Ensures systems are working effectively, which includes coordinating the testing of Core releases and annual Disaster Recovery testing.  Documents changes in accordance with the Change Management Policy.

  • Evaluate and facilitate the implementation of operational efficiency and process improvement recommendations from management and Process Improvement Committee.

  • Implement system tools (machine learning, business rules-based reporting, workflow management) to improve operational efficiency. Remain informed of future enhancements on vendor road maps for Core and other ancillary platforms affecting lending and deposit/treasury system functionality and analyzes processes for areas of improvement and automation

  • Serve as a Core system administrator creating & tracking service cases, updating user security profiles, system, business & institution level table maintenance as well as facilitating the testing and updates to loan interface platforms and collection management system.

  • Research and troubleshoot business use cases for departmental functions working with SMEs and vendors to optimize technologies.

  • Collaborate with other internal departments, including Deposit Business Solution Team and Fiserv on implementing and changing products and services for deposit and loan accounts. 

  • Produce Core reports for management on demand and work directly with the Data Team to communicate requirements for visualization dashboards and other complex reports.

  • Participate in PMO and internal projects, with a particular emphasis on process optimization for cross functional tasks across teams.

  • Perform additional duties as required.


  • College degree or 7 years Banking experience.
  • 5 years' Loan Servicing or Operational Banking experience.
  • Previous management, supervisory or project management experience, and able to work independently, make independent judgements, as well as collaborate cross-functionally, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient with basic reporting writing.  SQL a plus.
  • Proficient using MS Office applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational skills, and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of the Bank's deposit & lending operations and products.
  • Basic knowledge of banking regulations and compliance matters impacted by Dodd-Frank, RESPA, Reg Z, AML/BSA/OFAC monitoring.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, business communication skills, as well as the ability to organize and write business documents.
