You will need to build a strong knowledge base of the business/function they are assigned to support in order to provide the most effective consultation for these client groups.


Key Result Areas:                              


  • Manages ongoing processes related to the employee life cycle to ensure effective and efficient onboarding, engagement, and development, leaves of absence, and transitions within and outside of the organization.

  • Responsible for the overall performance management of designated business units, including the annual performance management process, career development (in partnership with Talent Development Consultants), rewards and recognition, conflict resolution, and corrective action.

  • Engages with business lines to understand their strategic business goals, their products, and services, and has working knowledge of the operational and regulatory requirements of the individual business units. Uses this information to promote the HR strategy and tactics to support these goals.

  • Expands on ideas that business unit leaders identify; educates and suggests various means of design and implementation of HR strategies, programs, or processes that will enhance the effectiveness of the group and Bank. 

  • Leverages own and team resources/time to meet productivity goals and deliverable deadlines, as defined by the CHRO and Head of Talent Management.

  • Proactively seeks knowledge expertise in the HR environment, as well as general business trends and practices; shares this expertise with others. Maintains sound working knowledge of banking regulatory risks and requirements and their potential/actual impact on each business unit.

  • Develops and maintains positive and productive relationships with management and employees within defined business units; positions oneself as an approachable and available trusted advisor; maintains visibility at all levels within business units.

  • Actively participates in the Bank’s culture and plays an integral role in maintaining the effectiveness of the culture. Models the Bank’s values. Evaluates employee engagement and proposes solutions to further build and maximize engagement.

  • Executes on projects aimed to support and develop the HR Brand, Employee Value Proposition, and Human Capital Optimization.

  • Occasional travel to Bank locations required.

  • Other related duties and projects as assigned.




  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, with knowledge of employment law, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, training, process improvement, and management development. 
  • Certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) is a plus.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office is required.
  • Predictive Index (PI) Certification or formal training in other behavioral assessment tools is a plus.
