Achieve sales excellence through the sale of Bank products and services that are targeted to customers’ individual needs; accurately process various customer transactions on the teller line as needed. Consistently provide high quality service to prospective and existing customers. A Personal Banker must possess an outstanding sales and service orientation, strong interpersonal skills and be attentive to detail.


Key Result Areas:  


  • Sell the products and services of the Bank and its partners to prospective and existing business and consumer customers based on their needs, focusing on increasing core households and services per household

  • Achieve sales and business development goals, as assigned

  • Develop and maintain substantial knowledge of Bank products and services

  • Serve as the key contact and advocate to gain, build, and maintain customer relationships

  • Perform customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments

  • Balance cash drawer at end of day and assist with branch settlement

  • Cross-sell the products and services of the Bank and its partners based on customers’ needs, while focusing on increasing core households and services per household 

  • Achieve sales referral goals

  • Consistently provide high quality customer service in a professional manner

  • Participate in CRA activities, as requested

  • Maintain knowledge of, and consistently adhere to, Bank policies and procedures regarding branch operations and human resources

  • Understands and adheres to all Bank Secrecy Act and Anti- Money Laundering (BSA/AML), regulatory, security, retail banking and bank- wide policies and procedures

  • Work within assigned authority level, referring to a higher authority when necessary or required by Bank policy

  • Perform Sales and Service transactions and teller transactions

  • Contribute to the effective team management of all Bank problems, issues and sales opportunities

  • Act as Personal Banker trainer, as required

  • Perform teller duties, as needed

  • Perform tasks accurately and efficiently

  • Perform additional duties as required




  • High school education

  • Proven sales experience

  • Ability to refer customers to appropriate personnel for potential sale

  • Ability to meet established sales goals

  • Strong service skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all types of people

  • Familiarity with routine teller functions

  • Cash handling experience is preferred

  • Ability to travel to and work at other branches, as needed

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to carry cash box and coin between vault and teller window

  • Excellent follow-through skills
