POSITION: COMPLIANCE ANALYST

Summary:

This position supports the Bank’s Compliance Program by aiding and supporting to the Compliance team. The Compliance Analyst actively participates in activities of the Compliance Department including developing compliance training curriculum, conducting various compliance reviews under the supervision of the Compliance Officer, and otherwise supporting the Compliance department’s ongoing responsibilities.   

Key Result Areas:  

  • Monitor changes in laws, regulations, regulatory guidance, enforcement actions and examination trends

  • Maintain the regulatory change management reporting, which tracks all proposed and final state and federal regulatory changes and regulatory guidance and best practices

  • Compile and disseminate the regulatory change management information to various departments regarding new or amended laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance

  • Conduct compliance monitoring, reviews, testing or reporting as necessary to fulfill the objectives of the Compliance Program, at the direction of the Compliance Officer

  • Represent Compliance Department as assigned to project committees, to serve as a compliance resource for other departments’ implementation plans related to system, product, and service changes

  • Assist the Compliance team and business lines with the implementation of regulatory changes per implementation plans, including reviewing policies and procedures, controls, testing, evaluation, and detailed documentation

  • Work with the Compliance team, business units and learning and development, as needed, to ensure the development and delivery of high quality, innovative compliance training

  • Review regulatory or policy required forms, notices, disclosures, etc., assisting in their design/development or revision, as assigned by the Compliance Officer

  • Assist the Compliance team with coordinating materials and responses for examinations, internal or external audits and ad hoc regulatory inquiries

  • Maintain the customer complaints log, ensure root cause and corrective action have been identified and escalate any patterns or trends to the Compliance Officer

  • Responsible for the governance aspects of the Compliance Committee meetings, including scheduling meetings and recording the meeting minutes

  • Maintain the ADA compliance log and any other administrative duties, as required

  • Maintain ongoing and up-to-date expertise on all relevant legal and regulatory matters through a multi-pronged approach, including participation in compliance-related trade associations, initiation, and maintenance of contacts with colleagues at peer institutions, and ongoing review of relevant trade publications, regulatory rulings and interpretations and regulatory and legislative proposals

  • Support other members of the Compliance team as a back-up resource when needed

  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years banking experience

  • Willingness to research and analyze the impact of federal and state consumer compliance regulations or proposed changes on the products and services at CSB

  • Interest in developing and delivering compliance training – prior training experience a plus

  • Proven ability to write clearly and concisely        

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to foster collaboration and teamwork

  • Proficient conflict management skills coupled with strong customer service skills

  • Ability to travel freely amongst branch locations

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe), ability to adapt to new systems
