POSITION: HEAD OF DEPOSIT OPERATIONS
The Head of Deposit Operations will manage the Deposit Operations Teams including Deposits, Item Processing, Retirement services and Quality Assurance for the Operations Division. This person will ensure procedures are being followed and in compliance with regulatory best practice guidelines. Also, providing input in strategic planning and process improvement initiatives focusing on our North Star to help improve the financial well-being of our customers.
Key Result Areas:
§ Provide leadership to the team. Coach manage and mentor multi-department team members
§ Oversee the implementation of goals and assist with the strategy and development of deposit products and processes
§ Foster a respectful work environment and further a culture of inclusion by building connections and using tools of listening, compassion and understanding
§ Manage the daily activity of the teams to ensure overall customer experience.
§ Prepare annual budget and manage overall operational expenses
§ Review internal process and work closely with other business line owners across the organization to evaluate, define and develop improvements to meet customer’s needs
§ Oversee security-related issues and partner with BSA on mitigating fraud
§ Oversee the reconciliation of GL accounts and ensure against fraud and potential losses
§ Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data. Build and monitor controls to ensure data is entered correctly
§ Actively participate on the Deposit compliance committee contributing to the overall best practices for the organization
§ Ensure the team completes appropriate compliance and regulatory training, such as BSA, ID Theft and ensure best practices are followed
§ Review and monito DNA management reports and paying attention to critical data changes
§ Work collaboratively across the organization to resolve discrepancies and focus on the financial well-being of our customer
§ Oversee Records Retention and critical regulatory reporting
§ Perform additional duties as required
§ Bachelor’s Degree or 10 years of related experience
§ Seven plus years of Operations and Regulatory/Compliance experience
§ Strong ability to make independent judgements, manage multiple teams, work collaboratively with across the organization, as well as meet deadlines
§ Technically proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint with the ability to learn new digital tools
§ Strong business communication skills and ability to organize and write business documents
§ Strong interpersonal and organization skills
§ Knowledge of GL system along with mathematical and analytical skills
