POSITION: MARKETING RESEARCH AND SEGMENTATION MANAGER

Summary:

The Marketing Research & Segmentation Manager is a new role to Cambridge Savings Bank that will help fuel the ongoing insights that support the tenants of the strategic plan and the ongoing growth of each of the business lines.  This role will initiate the ongoing research function for the bank  to include, brand, innovation insights, line of business specific drivers, as well as manage the customer experience measurement systems (Qualtrics) and other sources. This role will work closely with our Data and Analytics team to ensure the flow of insights is stored, appended, and made usable for driving action.

Key Result Areas:  

  • Lead market research projects: identification of market research needs, vendor selection, design, and execution

  • Create data driven views of consumer segments, drill down to identify key trends and attributes

  • Partner with marketing, product development and business lines to develop audience data and customer journey attributes that will differentiate

  • Explore innovative research techniques/approaches to address business questions holistically and through defined segments

  • Develop roadmaps for our customer segmentation, targeting and measurement

  • Translate market research insights into actionable recommendations

  • Effectively Collaborate and Partner with Marketing Managers and Lines of Business

  • Consult with analytics team to track performance of key business initiatives and define areas for testing and optimization

  • Stay up to date on points of view from leading industry analysts and key influencers in the market

  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications: 

  • BA/BS, MBA preferred

  • 5+ years primary market research experience

  • Ability to recommend, plan, and lead market research projects, as well as design analytical approaches to understand key customer behaviors, with specific focus on customer lifecycle management – acquisition, activation, utilization, retention

  • VOC collection and analysis

  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)

  • Analytical (quantitative and qualitative)

  • Critical thinker

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong client relationship management and project management skills

  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills – positive-oriented, curious

  • Strong MS Office Suite – Excel, PowerPoint, Word

  • Familiarity with statistical data analysis methods and tools

  • Experience with segmentation analysis and developing customer personas
